Lack of perspective

Wow, so my period was late a week or so and surprisingly it came today on cycle day 40. For the past 2/3 weeks I have been so depressed and it worsened very much in the past 2 days to the point where I've been having serious suicidal thoughts, not leaving my room, sleeping a lot and not talking to anyone. I hate how badly I lack perspective during this time. My period is driving me crazy. Can anyone relate?
