Would it defeat the purpose to have a fan and a humidifier?

My bf and I sleep w/ the fan on every night. Sometimes my sinuses get really dried out, so I'm afraid when my daughter arrives, hers will too because she'll be sleeping in our room for the first few months. So would it be pointless to put a humidifier in our room w/ the fan running?

I have my humidifier right by my fan (maybe I'm crazy) but I feel like it actually pushes the moisture out closer to me. (But I have just one of the small humidifiers that push it straight up not the stand up type ones)

I don't think so. The fan would just circulate the humid air

They serve two different purposes, so no. It would be pointless to have a humidifier and a dehumidifier haha but not a fan and a humidifier.

No. I have both. It just circulates moisture in the air. I had to get one because I was waking up to Nose bleeds.
