Ftm need advice on where i should have my baby shower

Hi! So my mom is throwing a shower for me but kind of wants me to pick out where and the decorations and all that. I have never done this before first off lol. I have called a few hotels with event rooms but they are over 300..one resturant i called was 200..and i just dont know really where else to call and get pricing. The cheaper the better lol ..i think there will only be around 30 or 40 people..so any help or advice is appreciated!!! 😁
