No idea what to expect....
So at 16 weeks it was discovered that my baby has AVSD, along with bradycardia. At 22 weeks we found out that she had developed a heart block which dropped her heart rate from 110-120s to the 50s-60s with the possible development of hydrops; We were told that if hydrops develops before 32 weeks there was no chance of survival, so I have been receiving weekly ultrasounds. So far no signs of hydrops or congenital heart failure and I'll be 29 weeks on Thursday, so almost there. I do believe the CHD is due to me being T2 diabetic, as my blood sugar was really high around the time I conceived. ( I was done having kids since I already had my boy and girl) but God had other plans. I almost suspect that I will be receiving csection come about 36-38 weeks. I have no idea what to expect. Will she need a pacemaker and the holes repaired immediately after birth? How long will she be in the nicu? Is there anyone out there that had been through this or similar that can offer any advice?
