Water labor/births

So my go to pain relief has always been hydrotherapy. When I have bad cramps, the only thing that saves me is a hot bath. Warm baths are the only relief I seem to get for my lower back stiffness & headaches. (I'm a ftm)

My question is have any of you used hydrotherapy during your labor or birth? What was it like and were you allowed to birth in the tub or were you removed for the actual birth (the hospital doesn't allow water births but will let you sit in a hot tub during labor). What are your experiences ladies?
