Midwife?

I know a lot of you are seeing your doctor, I did that with my first baby. This time I've opted to have a midwife and an at home birth if everything goes well. Does anyone else go to a midwife?

I chose a midwife but don't see them until I'm 11 weeks.

With my daughter I had a midwife, I did a water birth, I loved loved loved the whole experience!

I started with a midwife, two miscarriages later seeing an OB, just for the medical side of figuring out a cause. Pregnant again and as soon as I get the all clear from OB I am going back to midwives. Thankfully the OB totally seemed to understand!

Yes, I use a midwife at a birthing center. The birthing center is attached to a hospital, so it's pretty much an ideal situation in case of emergency. I adored having a midwife with my last pregnancy/birth. They are experts specifically in pregnancy and delivery, and really respect your wishes in my experience.
