Low cervix

My cervix feels redo illusory low, like as in I can't put my moon cup in without severe discomfort, and I tried a finger to see how low it is, and it's like I could barely even get my finger in more then like an inch, I'm super confused and don't know what's going on. I have been able to fit my ex who was 9 inches in there before, so I just don't understand if this is normal or not for it to change that dramatically throughout my cycle and as I get older or anything like that? (Also sorry, not sure if this is where I should post it, so I'm just kinda hoping this one gets me some information on this maybe?)
