Men with kids?

Is it wrong that I turn down men once I find out they have kids? I just don't want to deal with kids that aren't mine or baby mama drama.

I'm engaged to a guy with 2 kids to a previous marriage. I love them to death but the baby momma drama suckkkkkks. So I don't blame you, at all lol

Not at all. Children are a massive responsibility, if you don't want or aren't ready for that then it would be unfair of you to enter their lives and not commit 100%. It's smart you know what you want and don't persue a relationship if you know there's aspects of it you can't or don't want to commit to!

Depends how you look at things maybe in the future you have a child and your relationship with the baby's dad dosent work so you find your self single and people don't want to date you simply because you have a child how would you feel

I think it's absolutely fair for you to be upfront with these men. They play a role in their children's lives and as such that will have an effect on your life. It wouldn't be fair to you or to the man or their child for you to pursue a relationship when that's not what you want.

This is a tough one.... it's great that you know what you want and you are up front with the guy but on the other hand you might be missing out on a really great man because you are not giving him a chance. Just because a man has a child doesn't mean there is baby mama drama. I think it depends on the man and how he handles that situation. Honestly I was the same way, wouldn't talk to a man that had a kid. I'm talking about hell to  the no!!!! If I would have kept that mentality, I would have missed out on the love of my life, (we have been together 13yrs) and the  beautiful daughter that came along with the man. Yes at the time I was not ready for that responsibility but looking back, I wouldn't change anything. No it hasn't always been easy but I can say my husband handled the situation like a champ. My relationship with my "stepdaughter" is so special, I know I'm not her bio mom but I have been in her life since diaper days and I love her!! I hope my story helps you.

Ps. A man will be a man kids or not so but please don't let the fact that he has kids run you away.
