Dating and leaving

Well. I've started dating this guy. We're not a couple (?) but we've gone out several times. I really like him and I believe I can say he likes me too.

BUT here's the catch. I'm moving to Austria (from Midwest USA) this fall and I'll be gone for a year.

I see this dating relationship turning into a real relationship but is it wise to pursue this when we both know I'm moving away soon? Should we wait?

Any thoughts and/or experiences are welcome.
