Voting Question: Fake Registration?

SO totally unrelated to the whole atmosphere of this app but whatever. So here's the story. I graduated high school in 2014, and I was 17 (June) about to turn 18 (October). When I first started at my college, to make a long story short, I met his guy one day who ended up being a total creep. The first day I met him he asked me out and would not quit even when I told him I had a boyfriend. He followed me around basically the entire campus and would NOT leave me alone. It got to the point where I was super freaked out about this kid. So at one point I walk towards the library and there was this tent with a bunch of people asking students to "Sign Up" and I was like okay, maybe if I take a long ass time to "sign up" this dude will get bored and leave me alone. So I picked up the papers and started filling them out, not really paying attention to what I was filing out. The dude at the tent asked me if I was 18, and I told him I was going to be 18 within a few months, and he was like oh okay cool fill these out blah blah blah. SO I filled out the forms, with fake information. I just did it so this creep (who was still waiting for me) would walk away...but he didn't. ANYWAY, the only true information I filled out about myself was my home address and my full name, other than that my social was incorrect, my phone number was incorrect, everything was incorrect and I basically filled it out blindly. Eventually I ditched the guy but that's another story.
Fast forward to now, I'm 19 years old, about to turn 20 in a few months and when I went to vote for the primaries there was a mistake at the polling place I went to and I was given the incorrect ballot (registered Democrat/given Republican ballot). Several phone calls and a conversation with the Registrar of Voters later it was determined that that day back in 2014, I (apparently) registered myself as a Republican, but they said that should still have no effect on my registration status two years later. The problem couldn't be fixed but I did recieve a call from a reporter of the Press Enterprise wanting to interview me about my issue, because apparently this is something that's happened in other cities near me.
NOW, here's my question. Can I get into trouble for technically registering to vote while I was underage? And telling this to the interviewer for the Press Enterprise? Even though the person that asked me to register told me it was okay because I was turning 18 in a few months? When I registered back then I didn't even know what I was doing. I just filled out some papers because I wanted some creep to leave me alone. The information wasn't even correct, but in my records it says I was registered in the past under a different party. Help! OH and I'm currently living in California.
