How is it different?

I saw so many of you upset over the gorilla thing. He was killed to save the child. But today, after determining a 2 year old was killed by an alligator, authorities went out and killed at least 5 gators to try and find him. Yeah gators aren't endangered but multiple innocent ones were killed. Why are these parents different than the others? I am NOT saying they should be charged or investigated. I was against that for the parents of the boy in the gorilla enclosure. Just got me thinking.

Well alligators aren't endangered and these are wild animals.... It wasn't total parent negligence and the child is missing (dead). I think those factors matter. Although I have been where this happened, and I think it's crazy to let your two year old play near the water like that especially at night when gators feed. They also have signs posted not to go beyond this point, feed animals or swim in the water.

Both incidents say to me that parents need to pay better attention to their children. I do not think Disney is at fault. I do feel sorry for the loss these families experience but for crying out loud you're in Marsh lands. Get a clue

Both events are sad, both animals were doing what are in their instincts. Both events could've been avoided 😕 but I can see why people are more upset by the gorilla incident than the gator. Plus the little boy sadly died so the sympathy went toward the child.

How about a little compassion for a family that almost lost their child and another that did? Not sure why everyone is so eager to place blame. Seems to me that both situations were tragic accidents.

Anyone hear about the lion incident in India? I'm not sure if someone some in an exhibit or near it, but a lion mauled him and killed him and now 17 or 18 lions are being "tried" for murder lol. They have an ongoing investigation and are trying to figure out which one did it. The guilty one will be caged for life. Thoughts on this?? Sorry, just had to bring this up because I saw it yesterday and this reminded me of it!

All four subsets of gorrilla are either critically endangered, or endangered. That's why I was pissed.
