How far is too far to travel for OBGYN?

So I'm getting real frustrated with my current OBGYN. Things aren't going as planned as my levels aren't rising and she won't check my progesterone. After having a mc and a chemical pregnancy, I think this is necessary. I want her to have as much concern as I do as I believe I know my body best and think that's what a doctor should do. Ugh.

So in the midst of this, I'm considering changing OBGYNs. Not just because of this, but because she was in no way pleasant or thorough when I saw her when I had a mc. However, my next closest option is an hour away. What do you think? I don't mind traveling for appointments, I'm just worried about when/if I go into labor if I can make it.

I actually just switched mine because this will be my first baby and the doctor literally ask me nothing 😒. I feel like im being a bother and they sent my prenatals to a different state!! Also found out that my vitiman d levels are low but was told nothing to help me fix that. She also told me i have ureaplasma and wrote a script for it but never really explained what it was so i had to google. I also wait 1hr and 30mins after my scheduled appointment time. I decided to try my mom's doctor even though its 35mins away and im nervous wen i go in labor if ill be able to make it to the hospital but sometimes u have to take that chance so ur baby and u can have better care and a doctor that actually gives a crap!! im willing to travel 159 miles to a birthing center i want to deliver my 3rd baby at. all on how far u think u can make it in labor :) or in an emergancy if your not close to a hospital

Mine is about 45 minutes away. It's very unlikely that you wouldn't have time to make it in especially with the first baby!

My doctor is an hour away. I've never had any problems other than taking off work I have to take off 1/2 day. My water broke with both my other pregnancies and I had no problem getting to the doctor in plenty of time.

From what I understand, you will have PLENTY of time to make it if your doctor is an hour away. They make it seem really urgent in the movies but you should have time. My favorite doc is a 45 minute drive, and unfortunately she is not in my insurance network but if she was I would do it in a heartbeat. I think it's way more important for you to feel comfortable with your doctor.
