Forgot if I took my pill?

Sooo I missed my mini-pill last week and stopped paying attention to the days on my pill packet. I can't remember if I actually took my pill or not today. Should I take one just in case or no? Is it bad if I take two pills? I know I should always be careful about taking my pills on time but I've been so busy lately with work and my step sons birthday party that I just have a hard to remembering. /:
