Afraid to give baby paci

Afraid isn't the right word, I just worry that he's going to get hooked on it and be that baby who can't function without one. I'm a FTM and baby is 1 month. Up until now he has shown little interest in a pacifier, ejecting it as soon as it goes in. However lately he's in the phase where he's nursing constantly and using me as a pacifier. I can ususlly get him to calm down other ways when he fusses but I've found myself going for a paci more and more because my nipples are over it and frankly I'm just tired. I guess my question is how can I introduce the pacifier without creating an addict?
