Rules in a relationship

LeAnn

I've been seeing a lot of posts lately about people getting bashed for using the word "rules". Whenever I've read these posts it sounded like mutual rules between the 2 partners but a lot of the commenters come off as rude and judgemental saying things like "you're not his mother" or "hes not 5 years old".

Honestly, me and my boyfriend have "rules" (we usually call them agreements) in our relationship and that helps us keep everything running smoothly and keeps us on the same page. Usually it's stuff that we both agree on anyways and we just make a deal for each of us to not do those said things, but we're both okay with it.

So my question is: does anyone else have rules/deals/agreements/etc in their relationship? As long as it's not one-sided I thought that those were relatively normal things to have..
