Guys end up falling in love with a girl like their mother?

I once heard someone say that guys tend to fall in love and marry a girl that has traits of his mother in her, what do you think? Even if it's a few minor traits, even if you absolutely hate your mother in law, do you see at least one similarity?

No. I don't hate my mother in law but we are literally NOTHING alike, maybe we both like cats..but my husband hates cats😂 hahaha. No, if someone compared her to me or said we are alike I would be very offended.

I think it depends on the relationship with the parent. If it's a good strong one I could see this being the case. I've heard this too. For me my relationship with my father isn't that great so I don't pick people like him but I have noticed that people I have ever dated have similarities to my mom and brother and I assume that's because we have excellent relationships with each other

I've heard this, it applies in my marriage. My husband has a great relationship with his mother and we are similar in personality and physical characteristics. He is similar to my dad in a couple ways, they're both the same height and he's quite a few years older than me, he'll be 30 this year and I'm only 22. So it applies both ways for us. It's a subconscious thing to be attracted to people that remind you of your family because that's who you're most comfortable around and who you're used to. Also interesting they say soulmates often look a lot alike, often resembling brother and sister (if you believe in that sort of thing).

Well we both love getting work done. Both love the same outfits, we both agree when we yell at my husband and we both enjoy sleeping. 
So yeah. Lol. And he's just like my dad. Don't they say women marry men like their fathers.
