Can I find out gender?

We're having the Down's Syndrome screening ultrasound done on Monday and they'll be doing the blood test that goes along with it. Are they able to find out the gender too or is that just certain lab providers? I'm 11w6d

I did Harmony at 10 weeks and found out at 12 weeks our baby girl is healthy and everything looks normal.

I had my harmony test done at week 11. Got my results in 1 week--found out I'm having a girl and everything is low risk.

They have different lab provider for that its %800+ but you only pay what your insurance don't cover i just had mine done with the harmony blood test so im waiting for my results

Screening doesn't do any gender tests. Panorama, harmony and etc. do, but only if you will ask. You can do it from 9 weeks and it might not be covered by your insurance.

I was given the option to do the harmony test but we decided to just do the regular testing instead.  The harmony test was not covered by my insurance so I decided to save the $600 for other stuff for the baby.

If you are considered low risk (no family history of downs, and you're under the age 35) then they will do the 'standard' blood work, which will not tell you gender. You can ask, because it is an option but insurance doesn't always cover it. I'm 23, have family history of downs, so my dr thinks my insurance will cover the harmony testing (which reveals gender) just talk to your dr before you have the blood work done. Although I will tell you, in my area at least, Drs don't like to give that blood test unless it is for good reason and not just for a early gender reveal.

Yes they can if you ask them to take blood for it.  It's probably not covered by insurance though so be ready to pay around $200 for that test.  I just had all of that same bloodwork done on Tuesday and they tested for the sex too.  I'm 10w 6d as of today.  Due date- 1/14/17.  We should hear back on that and the genetic blood screens next week!  Very exciting, but also nerve wracking!  Good luck!!

it depends on the test your getting done. The one I'll be getting done to test for genetic disorders can test for gender as well. The harmony test does as well which I had done my first pregnancy 13w 5d. They can find certain parts of your babies DNA in your blood.

I think it's too early to tell by the scan, I just had my scan yesterday at 12 weeks. Only certain blood work screenings determine gender. For example the Quad screening does not, Harmony is one that does.
