Pink discharge - 7w3d

Everything I'm reading online seems to say it is common. But I am scared. Today it seems to be more colored than yesterday - and yesterday was the first time I had it. That paired with cramps I've been having on and off since I found out we were expecting ... Trying not to worry! Called my doctor but they're closed for the holiday. How do I know if it is taking a turn for the worse? Any suggestions to minimize the risk (if I have any sort of control)? Looking for any advise from experience!
