My husband always wanted to change his first name ever since he was a kid. His parents named him the same as one of his half brother's (first middle and last) and he has always hated it. Also, every time we travel he always gets pulled to the side in the airport and sent to a room to search him because of his name. Someone who has his name did something terrible and illegal in the U.S. and so they have to do the verification and check that he's not the same guy. If it were your husband, would you support him with his decision of changing his name or would you think it's a little weird?? I personally don't mind at all, but he has expressed his thoughts with my family and they gave him a weird look. He would only change his first name to the English version.
