my boyfriend and i are planning to have sex for the first time, and we're both virgins. and i know i'm going to be nervous in the moment, and i've heard that that tightens us girls down there making it more painful and/or harder for the guy to go in.
how do i keep myself calm when it's about to happen?

A lot of couples tend to give up when it won't go in. Just keep calm and keep kissing. If certain things like kissing, holding hands, or whatever it may be can keep you grounded it will help. You want to just breath and not think about pain. It won't hurt too bad. Just let it happen.
