Nursery before pregnant

My husband and I have been TTC for over three years now.  We just recently went and saw a fertility specialist and I have had all the tests done except my HSG exam which will be on Thursday.  As I am trying to take my mind off of things I have found myself cleaning out our "nursery" which right now is our junk room.  My question is,  though I know I suffer from infertility and am about to receive treatments is it taboo to begin to prepare a nursery?  I want to so badly,  but I also struggle with the question of "what if it never happens?"
