Mirena- IUD

lexi
I just got my Mirena put in today. I have a few questions if anyone can answer them. And then I'll tell my story on how it went.
1. If my boyfriend finishes in me, should I take the Plan B Pill still?
2. I got it put in while I am on my period, should I wait a week still for it to work?
It hurt like hell. If you can take pain well, it shouldn't be that big of a problem. The clamp used to open your cervix hurts, and the actual insert of the IUD was painful as hell. I also made a mistake and didn't take any pain medicine before hand and I didn't eat either. So after the procedure was done I was nausea and my cramps were extremely painful! I took some ibuprofen and about an hour or two they were gone. But overall I'm happy I got it because I don't keep up with pills and I didn't want to insert a ring or anything in me myself. So the pain was much worth going through!
