Too dry for a tampon??

Oh my gosh just put my first tampon in and I can barely walk 😂 I've always used pads and the tampon hurts every time I move. Any ideas?? 
UPDATE: I am on my period, and I'm relatively heavy. I just want to get used to wearing a tampon because I'm going on a trip soon.

If the tampon hurts or feels uncomfortable you may not have it in correctly. When inserting it, you should make sure that it feels comfortable and is in far enough.

This might sound odd but when I first started wearing tampons I learned how to put them in on my own. So, what I did was put the plastic part in with the actually tampon, just to get a feel on how to insert it so it didn't hurt just to shove a dry cotton ball in there lol . When I found the correct placement I just inserted the tampon on its own of course.

I know that if you REALLY need to take it out and you have the time for it, take a shower/bath to try and get it soaked so it will come out easier. Or the problem could be that you didn't put it in deep enough. You could try pushing it deeper into you and see if that helps.

Are you on your period or is it just really light if its really light try using a pad/panty liner if your not on your period then dont put a tampon in you dont need to ubless you are bleeding
