Stretch Marks

I never ever use to think I'm fat, but now whenever I wear shorts and I see my purple stretch marks it makes me feel differently. My boyfriend has NEVER said anything about them and when I bring them up he says that I'm perfect and always have been. Is there anything I can do about them?
