Shaving Advice

Hey guys! So I'm still living with my mother and she insists I have to shave, it's disgusting if I don't. I don't mind shaving my underarms, as I'm more comfortable without hair there, but I really hate shaving my legs and dread doing my lady bits, something I've managed to avoid for a few years now. I'm perfectly comfortable leaving all that as it is, but she refuses to let me be comfortable the few times I wear shorts if I don't shave. I usually wear full-length jeans, anyway, so I don't get why it matters. My question is, should I be worried about my body hair? Is it really as nasty as she insists?
