Am I too paranoid?

At the end of the second date he asked me if I wanted to hang out in his truck. I said no I'm not really comfortable with that as I don't know you that well. He got pretty frustrated with me and said, what do you think is going to happen? I'm a police officer!? He then said the next day I'm too paranoid for him and doesn't want to see me again. I didn't want to come across as easy but had actually ended up going to his truck to make out, though he took off his pants too! Which was too fast for me. Am I overly paranoid and cautious?
