It's crystals in their pee...totally normal they should go away eventually. 
Found them in my sons diapers when he was a new born and it freaked me out too

I'm sure it's not the same thing but just something to consider. When I was trying to breastfeed and baby couldn't latch well she had this a lot as she was getting a bit dehydrated. I was told to monitor any time the urine crystalizes and make sure they are eating enough. It could be something completely unrelated but doesn't hurt to think about!

Could be poo, breast fed babe's can still be flushing biliruben from their systems. Or if baby is a girl, the hormones in mom can be causing baby to bleed or spot. Sounds absolutely bananas. Thank goodness my dr warned me it could happen because had I saw blood coming from my newborns parts, I'd have flipped out!

I was told it had to due with my hormones. That my baby girl passed them on from me. It looked the same way. We ask 2 different dr at the hospital and they confirmed it was normal.

Keep a close eye on your baby's diapers. It is normal it happened to my son like three times. After that it was A okay. 
But if it lasts then see a doctor. Keep taking pics too! Good for reference

Brick dust urine. My son had it at a week old. Dehydrated due to my low milk supply.

Thanks all. I did some reading and agree it sounds like dehydration. She threw up once last night to assume that's why? Her sister has a cold so maybe she has a touch of it too. The nurse I talked to seemed to have no idea what it could be but since she has an appt on Monday wasn't concerned.
