When to stop swaddling ?

Hey ladies! My little one is 3 1/2 months old and still needs to be swaddled at night or he wakes himself up. How much longer is it safe to do that? He still has the startle reflex somewhat so he scares himself awake when not wrapped up. While he's sleeping he stays on his back but if he wakes up he wiggle worms all over the place haha.

Mine will be 3 months in a few days. I've started experimenting with unswaddling. I usually swaddle her when I put her down at night, then at some point in the night I take one arm out. I did that for a few nights. Now at some point I take both arms out and basically just wrap the Velcro part around her chest for that security feeling and to keep her legs warm since we can't put loose blankets.

You can swaddle until they start rolling over

As long as they aren't rolling over in it you can swaddle for as long as they need it! My baby is gonna be swaddled for quite some time in sure. She's a wiggle worm!

We are stopping this week. My guy still has the startle reflex but has begun rolling over. I was hoping it would be a while Before he was consistently rolling but yesterday and today he rolled multiple times belly to back and is on the cusp of back to belly. So we decided it's best to start in unswaddling.

I'm in the same boat my little one just turned 3months on the 8th and she stills needs to be swaddled at night and I'm wondering the same thing ! I can't remember how long I swaddled with my first daughter so not sure when to try and stop ! Mine still has the startle reflux !

We were told to stop no later then 6 weeks but we really didn't swaddle past 2 weeks.
