Men are mostly carriers for it.. most symptoms dont show in men as for woman but still affect them just the same.. as far as ur masturbation question I dont not understand.. only way to get hpv is coming in contact with it from another person so if ur asking can u get it from just masturbating urself no.. fondling or masturbating someone else that has it and symptoms are present yes.. u can get hpv warts transferred to ur hand and they can grow there along with ur mouth and ofcourse ur private area.. but once the warts are treated and gone most likely thet wont come back and ur body has fought off the virus so it wont show up on test cause ur free of it but in other cases it doesnt go away depending on what strain u have as there are different strains of it.. it doesnt go away and can cause cancer... there are shots for this virus yes but they only cover certain strains not all.. so the shot will help some strains but not all.. its just best to use protection and have regular screenings for stds... there is a lot of info for this type of virus its best to do ur research and google is good with that as with all other stds.. hpv could show up months or years after u have been infected as with other stds
