I had sex with a condom on the third day of my period...can I get pregnant?

We used a condom but didn't notice until a few minutes after that he came a little bit and I got scared thinking it could've come out the bottom of the condom from the sex motions. Is that possible? Also my period was really long and I had light bleeding for about 5 days after that. Is it possible for me to be pregnant? Can you ovulate while on your period?

A condom has a reservoir tip that's meant to contain the seman and does so as long as its free from holes. You are meant to hold the condom when pulling out to ensure it doesn't accidently slip off and spill the seman. Condoms on their own used correctly are 98% effective at preventing pregnancy. Having sex can alter your period (heavier or lighter, longer or shorter, etc). As for you getting pregnant there's a lot of variables that would go into determining that such as if the condom was used correctly, had no holes, when you ovulate, etc. As for if some women can ovulate while having their period I'm sure some do though it wouldn't be common. Most commonly woman ovulate about a week to ten days after their periods. Usually when a woman gets pregnant after having sex during their period it's because sperm can live for five or six days which depending when you ovulate can coincidence and cause fertilization
