Baby shower

So I wasn't really planning on having a baby shower ... My friend who is also having a girl her mom suggested we throw one together as this is our last child each... Her shower is August 13th... My husband's son is turning 11 the 14th and since he works that day was going to do something for him on the 13th.. Cool I can do both right? Nope my husband was like no we can't go to ur friends cuz our son wants a party .. I'm like he wants a party now that his mom is in the hospital and he can't get what he wants...for me it would be fun to b apart of something but now it's like idk anymore
