Depo Bleeding?

Okay so I really need to know, is it normal to bleed for 3 weeks+ on Depo? It's really frustrating cause my OB/GYN said that I might get some spotting....... This is the longest "spotting" I've ever had and I'm tried of it. Seriously thinking of getting off of it cause of this....

Is it your first shot? That happened to me exact it was like a normal period then stopped then started then stopped. After the 3rd month before I went to get the next shot, I stopped having a period altogether. But I started gaining weight and I'm not pregnant

after my first shot I had like month long spotting rather than a normal period, got my second shot recently so I hope it doesn't happen again
