Should i leave him? Anger problem.

My bf and i have been together for almost years. We get along really well and are pretty happy. He recently moved into a new house (i only live with him part time) that is in really rough shape, like the whole house looks like an unfinished basement and theres graffiti all over the walls and stuff. When i saw the house for the first time i was really upset that he would get himself into a financial situation where he has to live in such a bad house. I had a really bad attitude for a couple days and he tried  really hard to make me feel better. One day i told him to go on welfare (more as an insult than a genuine sugestion) and he got so mad and started yelling "FU*K YOU FU*K YOU" at me over and over again and like slamming stuff around.
