Breast milk!?

Question

Can a fever dry up your breast milk?... Will it be permanent of does it come back?... So sad I had so much milk and I got a fever and all of the sudden there's no more breast milk... I've tried everything to bring it back and nothing.  Please help

In my experience i had a fever for less than a full day and my supply dipped while i had the fever going. I just didnt get full and wasnt producing as much. Once my fever went away my supply went back to normal. I was scared my milk would dry up but thankfully it was only a dip and it didnt affect me too much. My fever was due to a really bad clogged milk duct and I had to pump every 3 hrs without fail. If I didnt have the duct issue I may have not pumped as often because i felt so awful and im sure my supply would have gone way down. Just keep pumping or feeding consitently and keep extra hydrated for yourself and for your supply. Hope you feel better!
