Other woman not dilated?

I went to the dr today my due date is July 19 I'm 39 weeks and 2 days she did a cervix checked and it's still tucked away far back and thick and closed not dialated at all. Any other ladies expierance this?

I'm 39 wks and 5 days. I'm due 7/16/16 and my doctor told me I'll be getting induced because my cervix is hard and baby girl hasn't dropped. I really wanted to experience the whole "my water broke" 😳😀. This is baby girl #3 and I don't plan on trying again.

I know it sucks but I wouldn't worry too much about it. At 37 weeks they told me I was 2cm and 50% effaced. Here I am 40+4 still waiting. I was excited at first just to know there was progress.....until I realized the rest of it would take this long. They are inducing me tomorrow, at least an end date is near. Good luck!!

Exact same here I'm 39 2 days today. Due the 20th. Ftm. I really dont think he will be here on or before his due date.

I'm 38 weeks (and baby is measuring 2 weeks ahead!) and I'm completely closed. 😩

You could literally dilate and thin for the first time right as labor begins. My dr doesn't even check because it doesn't mean anything. He only checks if you are being induced to see if a c section is needed or if he thinks cervadil and pitocin will work.

Same here baby #3 and no dialation, will be induced this coming thurs :( just praying my water will break or at least loose mucus plug to get part of the experience

I'm dilated only about 2 and that's it. If he doesn't come on his own by the 20th which is my due date or before the 25th which is a normal check up for me with my Ob, my Ob straight up told me he won't induce me. This is my 2nd pregnancy and my 1st was a mandatory c-section because my oldest was breeched. So I have until the 24th or else I'll be going into another c-section. So you can imagine how horrible and scared and beyond bummed out I feel 😢😔

I'm due the same day, at 38 weeks 6 days I was 1 cm 75% effaced and -3. Honestly I feel the same, a little crampy today but I wouldn't worry about it if your not. Just 2 weeks ago My cervix was completely shut and not effaced at all. It happens quick and I bet you'll progress in the next few days

Due the 19th as well! As of Wednesday I am fingertip dilated and 50% effaced which hasn't changed since 37 weeks. Dr isn't too concerned as has full faith baby could come on her own any time. She said being dilated isn't any indication of baby coming soon, you can go from 0-10 in one day. I
