How much breastmilk is your LO drinking?

How many oz is your 6 or 7 week old eating (breastmilk bottles)?

We just started giving bottles every once in awhile as I still want to breastfeed as much as possible and I was just interested in hearing how much your LO is eating in oz?

I think my little one is eating about 4-5 oz of breast milk. Is that normal for 6-7 weeks old?

I forgot to write that the reason I am asking is to better prepare his bottles and not sure how much I should pump! Thank you!

My pediatrician said between 2-4 ounces. When I pump just one breast I get about 2 so I'm assuming she's getting around 4 give or take

I normally just pump and have a 6 oz bottle ready my lo will eat the 6oz befor the 5 hours it takes to go bad. My frozen ones are 2-4 oz

Mine is 8 weeks she drinks anywhere from 1.5-3oz every 2.-3 hours during the day at night she drinks 3oz every 4-5 hours. It averages out to be 20-24 oz a day. I would say do 4 oz bottles and see how much baby will drink of it and go from there.

I was curious about this same thing. I'm going back to work at the beginning of September and wanted to start introducing a bottle of breastmilk every now and then that my husband can give my son to get him used to it. I searched online and found a good way to estimate how much they should be eating during a feeding. Here's a section of the article I read online.  It's from Kellymom.com
Estimate the number of times that baby nurses per day (24 hours).Then divide 25 oz (the average amount that breastfed babies take in per day between the ages of 1 and 6 months. All babies are different but the typical range is 19 to 30 oz per day. ) by the number of nursings.This gives you a “ballpark” figure for the amount of expressed milk your exclusively breastfed baby will need at one feeding.
I think what we'll end up doing is pumping and preparing it this way and then adjusting depending on what my son actually eats/finishes the first few times on his own.

My son is 7 weeks and drinks 3.5 oz every 3 hours. We give 4oz before bed and he sleeps 4 hours. Sometimes the 4oz is too much and it comes back up.
