Birth control and my boyfriend

About a month or 2 ago me and my boyfriend had pregnancy scare cause he came in me but I started my period after that and he has been pushing for me to go on birth control and he's using condoms now but I'm scared to go to the GYN for that cause I feel like my mom will assume I'm having sex when she thinks I'm not and I don't think I can have kids any ways... buy I'm scared to talk him that.
