I want a puppy he wants a baby!

I'm 8m pp with my second baby and I've been wanting a pup lately!! My so said he'd rather have a baby than a pup but I wanted to wait to get in better shape to have a vbac. Guess I won't get this pup so any advice on how to get in better shape being a working mom ? I thought a pup would motivate me!!
