Crazy mom? Or am I the crazy one?

For the past 5 months or so, mom has been wanting me to get on BC. So I made an appointment next week to get the mirena inserted. However, when I told her, she sent me this. Idk what do. She's pretty much disowned me, but for her to be mad at me for telling her I went through with her request? I just don't understand. Once I move out, I'm out.

I would reply back and say " oh well since you've been pushing me to get on birth control I figured you were pushing me to fuck my boyfriend" or just say you want it to control your periods and if you ever end up having sex your safer from pregnancy scares. She sounds crazy lol

Definitely have a crazy mom too. My mom made me go on birth control one she found out i was having sex with my boyfriend (who is using condoms) and now we aren't allowed to be alone together anymore. Even though we are 2 times more protected than we were before

That isn't kind or supportive at all. You need to talk to her and get her to change her attitude, because as a mother she should be behind you in everything you do, regardless of whether she's disappointed about it or not. I'm having the same talk with my mother about birth control, and even though she thinks I'm a bit too young to be sexually active (17), she is willing to talk about contraceptive methods, and get me on them. I'm incredibly proud of the way she's handling the whole thing, and I think every mother should be that way.

my mom is the same fucking way and I can not stand it. my mom and I have never been close but since I've been in my first relationship, she has been going insane and our relationship is just crumbling. I can't even stand being around my mom anymore
