Baby Shower after miscarriage?

Me & Cousin both where In the same place in life From School to work relationship whatever it was us  We both end up pregnant at the same time weeks apart. My due date was August 19 hers was August 27. Sad I lost my baby she's currently pregnant.(A boy) Haven't spoke to her since I miscarried. I don't no what to do 🙈😑😨😨. Honestly her mom bugs me about going I mean. . . . I wana show  support because I would want support but they not understanding I'm still healing every time I see a baby girl I break down 😢 ugh Help!

I'm in the same situation. My bestfriend and I were pregnant. I was three months ahead of her. But I lost my baby at 5 months.. she is still pregnant. I think it's a personal decision based on how you feel. Don't let anyone dictate that for you. I've grown to learn people don't know how this feels unless they're actually the one going thru it.  And if she doesn't understand that then was she really your friend? I would maybe get her a nice gift and send my regards. I would also discuss it with her BEFORE THE actual day so she knows instead of just not showing up.

I'm not going to tell you what to do because I think you should decide what's best for you. But if it were me, I would at the very least go and drop a gift off and hug her. Show that I'm there for her and happy for her. Of course, if I felt like I was too emotional after that I might excuse myself and hope that she was understanding. You could always talk to her before hand about where you are with your healing  so she'll have an idea of what's going on. Then if you skip it or leave early, she hopefully will be understanding

I was in this exact situation last year, it's a difficult situation do what you feel is best for you, I bought my cousin a gift card went to the shower for a little bite and bounce before the opening of gifts it's still hurts to this day when she talks about her baby boy

I would take her a gift before the party or on your own time. I'm sure she'll understand that it's a sore subject for you. That's totally understandable. But if you two are close... Then you should talk to her. Even if it's only over the phone. Just so she know you still care (remember she's pregnant and hormonal) and so she knows how you feel. I was in the same situation last year and didn't go to any baby showers, I knew I would break down and cry and the day should be happy and about them not about me. My friends all understood, I just sent a gift and sent my love.

Do what makes you feel comfortable, don't let ur aunt bully u. I'm sure your cousin is understanding of the situation. Maybe a quick note to ur cousin saying u are happy for her but this is still a hard time for u and apologize but won't be able to attend. Explain to ur aunt as well, if they don't understand that's not ur problem.

I went through the same thing. My sister and I were due on the same day ( 6/6/16), and two of our cousins (step-cousins, technically) were due within a week or two of us. I lost my baby at 7-8 weeks (2nd m/c). I did go to my sister's reveal party and shower, but it was VERY hard. I chose not to go to our cousin's. I voted to go, but I guess a big factor would be how close you two were to begin with. I'm very sorry for your loss, and good luck with whatever you decide about the shower ❤
