Spoiled?

My baby is spoiled, she will be fed, changed, and perfectly fine, but as soon as I put her down, she screams bloody murder. As soon as I pick her up she's fine.. How long should i let her cry before giving in and picking her up?

It's a biological need to be held in the first year. It's important for development. I know it's hard!!! Have your tried a wrap or carrier? That way baby can be held and you can also have your hands free. Being held is another need just like being fed, changed, or put to sleep!

Just pick her up. You can't spoil your baby. She wants contact with you and it is healthy for her.

Moms all over have heard the phrase "there's no such thing as a spoiled baby" and really latched on to it. It's true in the sense that babies do need your affection, but it's untrue in the implication that you're not creating any habits by reinforcing behaviors. If it's currently taboo to call it "spoiled", fine, but babies can get used to being picked up when they do certain things. We are both conditioning responses from one another.

It's a controversial topic, letting them "cry it out" at this age... Especially since there's usually an underlying cause for the crying. That said, it's generally not recommended that you start until the baby is a little older. Right now they won't receive the message you intended and stop crying, it's likely to just make the problem worse 😫

First , I'm a mom of 3 boys, 15, 11 and 3 months. My little guy is the same way at times... He doesn't do it all the time, usually when he is in a new environment, but mostly when he wants a bit more of mommy... I'm a sahm and he gets my undivided attention all day but sometimes he wants more. It could just be something your lo is going through... A phase. Keep trying to put her in a bouncy chair or a swing or under a baby gym.... Try laying on the floor with her and some toys or books. She will come around eventually. Be strong momma! This too shall pass.

She's doing exactly what she should be doing. She's not spoiled. Babies go through stages! I know it seems hard or difficult but just sit with her and enjoy it. Dishes or whatever can wait!

I'm just stalking this group as my baby was born in March. She's now 4 months old. Only a week ago was I able to start putting her down and leaving her to play. She used to scream immediately. Then slowly she became able to tolerate 5 mins, 10 mins, and so on, we're now up to 30 mins and that's about all I wish to leave her play without me for (I'm nearby doing chores of course!).

I felt like I was going to be attached to her forever but honestly, it does get better.

I don't even bother putting mine down anymore. He's great in the morning when he first wakes up, he'll talk to his angels (the ceiling has glitter specks in it) for awhile, but once I pick him up like to head to the kitchen for me to eat he won't lay back down flat. He will sit in his lounger while I do kitchen stuff though, and I'll pick up the lounger to take with me to the bathroom or living room, but that only lasts a little while before he gets fussy so I hold him most of the time. I think  he likes keeping me in sight.

My son loves to be held and rocked all the time. But I can't do it all the time. There's just no way. So what I did was I would lay him on the floor with his toys and make him play. I would lay down there with him and play with him. When ever I could tell he was focused on his toys then I would get up and do what I need to do

No such thing as a spoiled baby. Nothing wrong with baby wanting physical affection, it's proven to create more neurological pathways :) 
My son is very picky about his alone time, he likes his play mat, however he likes to sit up now so he's been in his activity center propped up.
