Any 5 month old out there who haven't even begun to master sitting yet?

My son Kaí hasn't even gotten to the point where he looks like he can sit yet. He always slouches and his head slouches down, which is weird because I thought he had pretty good head control otherwise.

Totally normal. Your baby will sit up on his own before you know. Try not to compare others milestones to yours. Every baby is different

Tummy time is very important. Even if the babies start crying and want to turn back on their back dont let them at least 10min a day. This way his back muscle will strengthen and he will soon be able to sit ;) 
It sounds worse than it is and their crying bc they are complaining but remember u do smth really good for them

FUNCTIONAL sitting doesn't happen until around 7 or 8 months. This is when baby can get into sitting on their own instead of a parent placing them there. We will continue with lots of belly and back time until that happens. Creates a more confident baby (in terms of sitting) as he knows how he got there so can safely get into and out of the position. My daughter can only belly to back roll hasn't quite figured out the back to belly she's gotta move her arm lol. But she is a very good mover I can place her on her back and she scooches into a different place lol. She hasn't mastered sitting on her own yet. We're just going with her cues she will do what she will on her own terms :) Dr's always tell u they should be doing something when each baby is way different. This is Bailey born feb 17th 2016

Not sitting yet..I asked doc ..she said she is only 5 months take it easy ..also my mom said don't push for sitting ..her spine has to be strong ..u don't want to have a bad posture..sooner or later she will sit ..so don't rush momma

We have the same problem 😞 she just won't sit she'd rather roll all over and scoot around

Ugh my guy is in the same boat! He does that same thing, which we've found means he's trying to roll from back to belly! I think 6 months is when they start sitting.
