Tacky to re-gift a gift??

Just had my shower. I got some blue boy blankets but she's a girl,  so I was going to return or sell them anyway.... now my friends shower is coming up and her baby is a boy..

I regifted a bottle of wine once and felt horrible about it since. I suggest returning them and use the money to buy something else.

I would just give them to her and say you got them for your shower and won't use them bc you're having a girl. I wouldn't give them as a present though.

I honestly think it is completely fine to do. If she would like them and you won't use them, give them to her! If not, return them and get her something she would like more. I wouldn't be offended if someone gave me something someone gifted to them. Will the person who gifted them to you be at her shower? Are they also friends? I might feel differently if the gift giver would know.
