Toddler to first gyno appt?

Question

I got a positive test and I have an appointment tomorrow. Does anyone know if it's ok to take my two year old with me? I'm not sure what they will be doing. If I am pregnant, I'll be 5 weeks. I thought I could give her my phone to keep her distracted. Don't really want to ask family as I don't want to tell them about pregnancy yet.

My daughter who's 1 been to almost every single one of my doctor's appointment. Just bring some toys and snacks.

They might do a Pap smear, or they'll do it at your next appointment. If you don't want them to do it when you're LO is with you you can always ask them to do it at the next appointment or whenever is best for you. I've always brought my 1 year old with me and the months before when she was younger. She didn't always do too well but since my SO works I didn't have a choice . As long as you bring a stroller and distractions it'll be fine

I took mine to the first appt and most of them since then too. She wasn't with me for the one where they did a pelvic exam (usually one of the first few appts) and then last time when I had my first cervical check. Mainly because once she walked in on me putting a tampon in and then tried to imitate that, because she wants to be just like mommy. She usually has my phone and watches videos during the appts but is very curious as to what's going on.

I wouldn't bring my 2 yr old son with me unless I had a stroller for him, or someone to watch him for me 😂 I wouldn't trust him not to open the door and bolt 😉 my little guy is very independent.

Its ok to take your toddler, i took my 3 yr old and my doctor didnt mind at all. It was actually neat my son helped with the doppler to hear babies heart beat.

I had my6 month old with me..... It was fine as the doc is also my baby's doc.... But I mean they are used to this
