Should I shave my head or just cut it for charity?

I've recently found out about The Princess Trust who take hair donations and make them into wigs for children and young people who've lost their hair through cancer.

I absolutely love my hair but I also want to help and let's face it... my hair will grow back.

I was going to shave it all off donating a whopping 77cm. (From the crown of my head so it'll lose a few cm in the process of being tied and cut to donate) however my other half isn't keen saying I'll regret it and that it will take forever to grow back in etc etc. 
Should I just tell him to put up with it and do it anyway raising money in the process of donating or do I just donate my hair?

It's 100% up to you but since it is your first time donating it I would go pixie (every time I donated mine I did a very short A-line). You are an amazing person donating all that beautiful hair! Love your mindset of it growing back.

I shaved mine so that there was about 2-3cm left. It was at a fundraising event with a bunch of other people. I was really happy with my decision but I will say the there are some really annoying stages during the grow out process! It's been about 4 years since and my hair is now mid-back length. If you are unsure, you could cut it halfway and see how you feel, then cut the rest if you like. Given how long your hair is cutting it halfway would still be a great donation so I would probably do that if I were in your shoes. Check with the organization to see how long each individual donation must be.
