What would you buy for baby to sleep in for 1 week while visiting family?

Question

So I was going to get a pack n play for my son to sleep in our room in the beginning. However, we had a bassinet given to us, so no need for the pack n play anymore! Unless I want to put it in the living room for daytime.

My other dilemma. Is that I will be out of town with my LO for about a week when he's 8-9 weeks old. So now I need suggestions on what to buy for him to sleep in when we are visiting with family.

-Rock N Play
-Pack N Play

I like that the co sleeper is a more affordable option, but I'd like to know other mom's experience with them.

I like that the Rock N Play can be mutli-functional and can be very soothing for them while so small. But do you think he'd be comfortable sleeping in it for an entire week??

The pros of a Pack N Play are obvious but I'm still on the fence because it's the most expensive option and I don't know how much I'll use it besides for traveling since he already has a crib AND bassinet.

Trust me when I say the pack-n-play will come in handy and you will use it for many other things even when baby gets a little older and is crawling or walking say mom has to run out to catch the mail or that yucky stain got spilled on the floor and baby is going right for it just pick them up and put baby in we also used cars for vacations most hotels have Pack & plays but I always felt yucky using theirs using theirs when I can bring mine it's also great for quick showers and bathroom breaks depending where you have it located and of course for nap time

Pack and play will last longer and has more than one function.  I'm gonna use a playpen part from a pack and play instead of buying a ginormous crib. He grew out of a rock n play by 6weeks. Glad it was a gift.

Can you just bring your bassinet?

You'll be happy to have the pack and play later when baby is mobile and you want to set baby somewhere while you do dishes or whatever. Yeah it's the most expensive, but you'll be able to use it for much longer.
