How old is my baby?

So in regards to when I should start baby food..... I know it is generally 6 months but do you go by weeks so 24 weeks or by months so if she was born March 18th I would wait until September 18th?

Our pediatrician said to start at 4 months and to allow her to eat every we do except for honey.

We were told that waiting until 6 months and excluding certain foods was outdated.

Months. Not every month has 4 weeks so if you couldn't 52 weeks to your next birthday it would be a different date. So it goes by months. Your babe will be 6 months old on September 18th (if they were born March 18th) my daughter is going to be 10 months old on August 17th because she was born October 17th 2015.
