He gets mad when I tell him what I like

So I was texting my boyfriend and the topic of us doing shit came up and he has this idea where he thinks what worked with one girl is going to work for me. So when I started telling him what I like that he does and what he could do to make it better, he got all self conscious and then wouldn't text me for the rest of the night. What am I supposed to do? He doesn't suck at what he does there are just things he could do to make me finish faster or make it more enjoyable
