Is getting really wet a turn off and if so, how do I keep from getting so wet?

When with my boyfriend intimately I tend to get incredibly wet. He says it doesn't bother him but it sometimes keeps me from reaching climax and then that sort of puts both of us out of the mood because he doesn't think it's fair for him to have an orgasm if I didn't. I love when he makes me feel good in this way but I get self conscious about making such a mess. What should I do?
