Do you address your spouse, partner by their first or last name?

My BF & I don't think it feels right to only address each other by first names but occasionally I do when mad irritated or serious but he hates it always.

How about you guys?

We always call each other by our first names.. He'll say Kel and babe but I just call him by his name.. We've been together 11.5 years and married almost 4

Been with mine for almost 3 years. I call him by his first name occasionally, but mostly babe, baby, papi chulo, pumpkin, boo cakes, baby cakes, baby love, whatever pet name comes out when I open my mouth is what I call him.

I'm confused... We have pet names for eachother, if I used his real name ex:"hey john, want wanter?" It would be weird... Instead we say something like "hey baby, want water?"

I say every pet name I can think of always coming up with tons of different ones, in different languages,, the ONLY time I ever call him by his first name is when I mad as hell! :o

My ex husband was active duty military. It was normal to call everyone by their last names. We lived on base and anytime I talked about him, I had to use his last name. Not many people actually knew his first name :D with my current fiancé it's normal to call by first name. I usually just get his attention by saying babe or hun. Even when I'm upset I've never called him by his full name. He's not a child :D he's never called me by my full name either.
